Muttiah Muralitharan holds the World record of highest number of wickets in test cricket. He has taken 800 wickets in 133 test cricket matches.

Muttiah Muralitharan holds the World record of highest number of wickets in One day International (ODI) cricket. He has taken 534 wickets in ODI cricket matches.

Muttiah Muralitharan is the most successful bowler fielder (non-wicket keeper) combination taking the maximum number of 67 wickets with Mahela Jayawardene: for example:Bowled Muralitharan and caught Jayawardene.
